"Independence",when we hear the word for most of them its all about questioning ,to some its about living on their own according to their rules(even if they dont understand laws),to some its about freedom to be arbitrary.
Well it has different meaning to different people.
some questions often strikes my mind.
What is actually independence?
What independence we are celebrating about?
From whom we have got independence?
What best we have achieved from independence?
Robert Hensel said,
"There is no greater disability in society,than the inability to see a person as more".
The health of the society is mainly dependent upon the unity and integrity which the people shows,it is foremost factor for determining the success or futile of the societies.
Let me remind you about the history of ours where we were ruled by various invaders like moghuls, tugluqs, French, Portuguese,dutch,and Britishers what do you think?were they very strong people than us or they were very much courageous and brilliant?or do you think india was only country in the world which had all the resources and richness?
Dont you feel all the countries are been gifted wit one or other resources?
What is it which had made these invaders to invade our nation?
The answer might really make you "introspect".
According to me "We indians were never united and never secular"
Yes obviously,I stand by my words its all because of our internal strife and mean mindness foreigners have looted us and have left us astrayed!!
Whom do you want to call secular and united? The people who knows to give long lectures on independence and to be patriotic?
What is the use of such words when we fail to prove the same through our deeds??
We indians are well versed in giving suggestion to the people and keep flaunting to be benign,were as we are the most crooked and selfish by our inclination.
Let me give you an example of countries like japan and cuba which are my favorite also,Hav you ever read about their devastation and suffering?what is that which have made these countries developed, self sustainable and prosperous?
How japan has constructed itself despite of consequences of atomic bomb?How cubans have achieved 100%literacy and have stood firm against the great USA?
What is that which have made these countries prosper and emerge out of all odds?
Dont you think they have not achieved the greatest feat?
The people of these countries have really put sincere efforts to work as one and had sacrificed their life for the well being of their fellow country mens instead of given long hours lectures.
What a nation really requires" is not the words which are soft to hear but also to accomplish the tasks which are hard" the real tragedy of our nation is that we are still unable to declare ourselves developed as we are so much divided ourselves into caste,creed,region,states and provinces that we have forgotten to be identified as indian.
Let me give an example of the event of last month itself a girl who won 400m junior world championship was in news because of her caste rather then her achievement.(I do not want to take her name as I am afraid the searches for the same may also increase after reading this)such is the catastrophe of our nation and the people.
Celebrating the independence with all grandeur or shouting the slogans does not prove your patriotism or does not bring meaning to the same.its all about performing deeds accordingly to the words you speak and not less proving them will bring true meaning to the word "independence".
What independence our forefathers have fought for ?is it for the use of your own selfish means?or is it to curb the freedom of the poor countrymen?what independence you rejoice about were you cannot speak against the corrupt ones,you are mercilessly killed for creating a awareness in the people?were you cannot raise your voice for the fellow being?why do you call yourself independent?when you are a slave of the "frontliners" who perverts their power to surpass the voice and curb the very confidence of the people?Do you really think you are independent by using the materials imported?Do you really think independent when you cant even live without your eletronic gadgets which atleast are destroying the productivity of an individual?
Its all because of the "mean minded" and "unsecular" nature of our people which has made us ruled over hundreds of years .Stop flaunting yourselves to be "seculars","socialists"and "republic" by the words and try to bring atleast 1/10 th of it into actions.
Or else the day is not far away when "we will be invaded,ruled and then repenting for perverting the hard earned independence".
