The Pursuit Of A Heroism.

Namaskaar ri pa!

Hello,
Accept the heartiest greetings!
Hope everyone is doing well.
It's been long time since my last blog. Here I am with the post which seems to be common but can make us introspect on the mentality we exhibit unknowingly or which has become innate.

I often ask this question to my students and my associates waiting eagerly to know what their answers might be. It so happens that 80% of the time I first of all feel embarrassed on myself doing such things and then pity on the ignorance of the person to whom I have asked.

Hmmm... Wait!
Coming to the mudda (point) of the blog, the question I ask is, 'Who is your favorite hero?' And nevertheless the most usual answer I get is either a film actor or an actress' name.
Alas!
Don't you feel it's apt to feel pity?
Or even some will doubt why he should feel  so?Or what wrong lies in the answer?

Let us understand the difference between an actor and a hero...
An 'actor' is someone who enacts on the stage on someone's will to feed his/her stomach. They are the professionals trained in acting on the stage or celluloid.

Ex: Bhai! (no offence as to how fans refer him) Khiladi, Rocking Star, Golden Star, Silver, Bronze, Iron, Rust stars, etc.

A 'hero' according to 'Webster dictionary' is a person who by his prudence and character has made a revolutionary change in the society and there by has cast an everlasting impact.

Ex: Swami Vivekananda, Arbindo Ghosh, Mahatma Gandhi, Lenin, Fidel Castro, Ernesto Che Guevara , Atal Bihari Vajaypee, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Hima Das, etc.

'Heroism' is neither fascination nor glamour to be a leader. A 'hero' does not evolve in a day, he/she is some consequences of all actions executed that has changed the very personality of his/her and in turn carries the whole world.

It often makes me think why such a thing is not understood by the commoners? Why do they imitate blindly and follow those who themselves lack certain qualities in different spheres of life?
Well, the reasons to this are umpteen such as: the influence of media , vested interest hype, celebrities and glamour. I too agree these things affect to a certain extent but these shouldn't be the sole reason for it.

According to William James, a famous Psychologist, 'mind is easily attracted towards illusions and shows doldrums towards the thing which demands its poise and intense dedication.'
People never want to take burden to rise above their present state of intellectuality but aspire to be recognised and felicitated because of which a perception grows in an individual that the current state of his/her is paramount which makes them egocentric and thereby missing the chance to grow. This weakness of mind thus becomes the business for other in portraying unwanted things to be great and misguide.

Let us understand why is it so hard to change our mindsets and try to check out new versions of ourselves?

Does it require things external which makes oneself a hero?

How does the noted people do that?

Did they have super natural powers within?

Sanskrit proverb says,
Aham Brahmasmi
Which means you are the very essence of God.
You alone possess the ability to change yourself and evolve out of any situations.

Swami Vivekananda says beautifully,
'You are the creator of your own destiny.'

The old srciputres say, 'he is an atheist who does not believed in God'.
The new ones say, 'he is an atheist who does not believe in himself'.

It is what greatest of people have always tried to tell and convince us about the gigantic power which resides within us.

It's we who have masked it and cry on our fate.

To be a 'hero' it neither requires us to have training nor go long distance in search of 'mantra'.

You can learn from the surroundings where each and everyday one or the other hero is making his/her own way audaciously.

A 'father' is a 'hero' who struggles hard with circumstances of life only to see that his family is safeguarded.

A 'mother' is a 'hero' who shall sacrifices  solemnly.

A 'soldier' is a 'hero' who stays away from his family only for the safety of us.

A 'security guard' is a 'hero' when he risks his life executing his duty.

A 'teacher' is also a 'hero' who struggles to uplift the life of his/her students.

A 'doctor' is also a 'hero' who wages war against the death.

Even a 'dog' is a 'hero' which lays down its life proving faith towards its owner.

A 'hero' is not made in a day or two.

It requires an individual to undergo varied hardships of life and win angst to bring masses to the mainstream and be a candle that's lighted to  light the lives of millions.

Look within, unmask the hidden hero and let the sleeping soul arise awake and stop not till the goal is reached.

Punch time:gym, clothes and style creates road Romeos not heroes ๐Ÿ˜‡

The sacrifice that our fighters have given for us r just in books . Our youths r not in position to take any challenges for keeping our culture & rituals . They are just simply have become bread to westernisation

    1. Learning knows no boundaries dear.
If we sir to learn we can also learn from non living things too.
We should only have that attitude to learn.
In Ramayana also lakshamana went to ravana to learn something. It doesnt matter from whom we learn. We should cultivate the broad minds to accept our limitations and learn without hesitation.

    1. Hello there,

      Ty for ur time.

The answer is in your question itself.

Most of us know which is bad or good and we often say I can easily do it but.....
Start giving reason or find reason to mask our defects.

The simple thing to overcome laziness is to follow a disciplined life..
No matter it's about eating, sleeping, walking, reading any course of life when done with discipline and faith results in paramount.

      #actions defines man not words.
      #keeping breaking your own records๐Ÿ™‚

  11. It's true that we don't recognise the quality of life lead by the real heroes like vivekananda, APJ etc. Instead people will be more influenced by actors who showcase unrealistic things in the screen, especially youth.
