Yoga [Ability to assimilate]

The word "yoga" Often Reminds to our mind  positivism, spiritualism ,sportive or serenity making oneself boisterous. It's how we have a notion towards it.

You may feel it frenzy or frown if I tell you the more you perform yoga and more you understand about it then you may turn yourself to an "atheist ".wonder !!! How!!!

Yes, the very fundamental basis or principle on which patanjali's yoga is dependent is
Upon "samkhya metaphysics"which denies the existing of God !!!

Don't you feel bizzare to know this?

Well...!! Let's not get more into it as multifold expounds are available to prove the existence of deity or not.

We in this blog are not going much  in depth in terms of spirituality rather we focus how yoga has contributed to uplift ourselves from brute to "God " For thousands of years.

Let us try to understand the meaning, focus and benefits of inculcating yoga in our lives .

Meaning

The word yoga is derived from Sanskrit word "yuj" which means "to combine", " To culminate "or "to join".
Yoga can be termed as " Science of body and it's mechanism"
If human being is looked in terms of 3-dimensions such as body mind and soul.
Yoga is the "process through which all above said aspects are brought into perfect equilibrium". Even though yoga seems to be physical activity it leaves long impression on mind an then on soul as whole.

Man is mixture of various emotions like mental, intellectual, spiritual, physical exhibiting any of these emotions unguided will usually leads to loss of energy and there by restricting man reaching higher levels hence assimilation of such energy is ultimate purpose of performing yoga.

By nature mind is totally restless and blunt that is because of various modes of thoughts (vritti) and in order to maintain poise(chitta) control of vrittis is must. Which later makes us realise "purusha" residing within ourself and help us make distinction between  "purusha" and "prakriti".

Vrittis and chitta:

"Vrittis" are usually roving thoughts which makes the mind restless, eg:they are like distortions during a phone call.

"Chitta" On other hand is like boosters on phone tower which amplifies the distorted signals for better communication.

Once distortion settles effect of booster is clearly known.same with that of vrittis and chitta once vrittis are settled chitta is visible.

There are various forms of vrittis which makes chitta agitated. Types of vrittis are as below

1.pramana(right knowledge)
2.viprayaya(false cognition)
3.vikalpa (fancy)
4.nidra(sleep)
5.smriti(memory)

These unsettled vrittis create chaos in mind thereby making it restless.

Yoga is the answer.

The above vrittis can be calm down by performing yoga and pranayama but to maintain the state of dhyaana the practice of "vairagya" and "abhyasa" Has to be followed.

"Vairagya" refers to denunciation of worldly pleasures.

"abhyasa" refers to constant practice on the same.

Ek-tatvabhyasa

In order to maintain poise in all situation the practice of ek-tatvabhyasa can be followed. In this process a person can focus on an object .other method is to cultivate the good habits which makes him always remain in  higher state of virtue.

Yoga is not a syllabi to complete as course or in years or so. It is the integral part of human system which keeps running the machine all the time. Yoga doesn't symbolises any sects or religion nor it has something to do with it.

It can be considered as science, arts or medicine whose only purpose is to nurture, uplift and evolve the sleeping souls for attaining higher states of life and become one with the free soul, which neither depress in agony nor elates in happiness.

Let you "yuj" all energies to sublime God residing within and help to bring forth more such in others.

We should feel exalted about acceptance of yoga across the world and carry forward the legacy of our forefathers.

#yoga for unity.
#yoga for us.
#unity for the nation.

#yoga at home

#yoga with family

Happy international yoga day.

The catastrophe of Education and the educated.

Hello everyone, Its my first blog and I feel bliss to share with you my notions on the topic.     Swami vivekananda rightly said education is one by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased by which intellectual is expanded and one can stand on one's own feet. The above quote is so much true and is a essential for today's world. We have forgotten the very purpose of education, the result of which we see in the form of ignorance,un-employment and all such miseries.Dont you think education of todays age have created learned labourers??who have mugged up few of the information and reproducing the same all the time in one or the other forms. Whom do we call educated? The one who have more degrees in his/her name or the one who has scored highest of marks? The modern age education has produced merely the "trained people" who have taught to be just like a machine which operates on the set of instructions that is been already stored within it. What ca...
